How does the ionSpa compare to the cheaply priced units?
There is no comparison! The units that come in at a very low cost point are unfortunately non-working ionic footbaths. Color in the water does not mean you are ionizing water. Bohr’s law of physics demands you have 13.6 volts across the plates to ionize water. Most of the inexpensive units utilize a 12 volt power supply. With less voltage you can still ionize, but it won’t be water that you are ionizing. You must ionize the hydrogen in the water for it to be a real ionic foot bath. Even the 24 volt Chinese units that we have tested don’t deliver 13.6 volts to the bath!
Also, there used to be a commercial on TV, and the tag line was, “you can pay me now or you can pay me later!” This is so true with these units. The foreign footbaths may be initally inexpensive, but the consumable parts that must be replaced periodically are several times more expensive than the same items for the ionSpa. You end up paying more over the life of the unit! Our unit is priced to give you the best value coupled with the ability for us to be here for you for years to come- don’t waste your money with fly by night manufacturers and distributors that will be out of business in 3 months. Why does the water change colors?
The water changes colors because of electrolysis of the plates in the array combined with a break down of the salt and minerals in the water and an individual’s contribution (this is what causes variances from one person to the next).

Do I receive any benefit using the ionSpa?
Yes, as you have seen on all the web sites, loaded with testimonials, and benefits(see our disclaimer below). All the 24 volt, full functioning units operate basically the same, the rest of the words are just marketing. Look for the best of features, ease of use, and warranty.
What should I look for when purchasing an ionic footbath?
- Intelligent design. The unit must run at 24 Volts and have adjustable time and amperage or it is not a professional grade unit and may not even be capable of achieving ionization.
- Make sure it comes with everything you need to do sessions right out of the box.
- Does it come with a foot basin, cleaning brush, disinfectant, liners, replacement plates, directions in your language, and a power supply? Make sure or you will spend days or even weeks gathering these components.
- Does it have a FREE FIVE year warranty like ours? A THREE year warranty? How much does the company believe in the quality of their unit? The warranty will tell you.
